CV and Cover Letter
From a communication perspective, a CV and cover letter are two of the most strategic documents you will craft as a graduate student. Indeed, both documents share a common purpose, namely, to acquire an interview. This workshop offers rhetorical strategies for moving beyond “template thinking” to personal marketing and customization based on the type of institution to which you are applying. Participants are encouraged to bring their own CV and cover letter to the workshop for peer review. If you would like your materials critiqued using the projection system during the workshop, please send copies at least one week prior to the event to David Lawrence at CETL.
